map and some “InfoBoxes”
◦ You need to install a map for your region
The InfoBoxes display useful information
◦ There are lots of InfoBoxes to choose from (100+)
◦ You choose which ones you want displayed
◦ You configure how many you want displayed and where
they appear on the screen
You configure how you want XCSoar to work
◦ There are lots of settings to configure (150+)
◦ Configure the settings before you fly, not in the air!
You access the settings by double-tapping on
the screen, then following the menus
You can “draw” on the screen to access some of
X
CSoar’s features
◦ eg swiping up or down zooms the map in or out
The screen can be oriented in portrait or
landscape mode, but is shown here in portrait
mode for convenience
